I am a nonfiction writer and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University where I am a member of the non/fictionLab research group.
My work is interested in the politics of value and taste, power, interpretation, and subjectivity. I bring to my writing and thinking an attentiveness to critical and literary theory, psychoanalysis, and aesthetics. I am also committed to experimental and collective writing and art making practices.
I acknowledge the people of the Woi wurrung and Boon wurrung language groups of the eastern Kulin Nation on whose unceded lands I am fortunate to live, work and parent. I pay my respects to the Ancestors and Elders of these lands and waterways, as well as to the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways across Australia. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
